AHF is providing Historic Tax Credit services to facilitate the adaptive reuse of Cogswell School in Haverhill, Massachusetts. The beautiful brick school was built in 1891 and remained in service for more than a century. During that time, thousands of children learned in its classrooms and played on its grounds. Now Cogswell School is poised to begin a new life as a multidisciplinary, community arts center with a gallery and studios available for local use. Creative Haverhill, the project proponent, will operate the building and provide arts and cultural programming.
AHF has helped Creative Haverhill secure Federal Historic Tax Credits, and is providing ongoing consulting services in accessing allocations of State Historic Tax Credits. AHF continues to support the project as it progresses through development.
