Since 1966, AHF has been at the forefront of preserving and reactivating historic properties to stimulate community growth.
From providing the vision for the rehabilitation of Quincy Market to saving Boston’s Old City Hall from the wrecking ball, AHF proved early on that preservation and smart economics could transform historic properties into thriving, key elements of a city’s urban fabric.
More recently, the redevelopment of historic mill buildings in Lawrence and Lowell, as well as the newly revitalized Charles River Speedway in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, shows that there is still so much work to be done.
