This week, Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus offered his stamp of approval for the future sale of the Worcester Memorial Auditorium to AHF. His decision came four months after AHF submitted a final report to the City outlining a plan to redevelop the building as a cutting-edge educational and cultural center for for digital innovation, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and the arts.
We are excited to announce that the Boston Landmarks Commission has approved the rehabilitation plans for the Speedway. Following a March 26 presentation by AHF, Bruner/Cott, and Klopfer Martin Design Group, BLC voted in favor of the project moving forward, pending final review of signage.
The Architectural Heritage Foundation took another step forward in its effort to revitalize the Speedway by hosting a bidders walk-through of the complex.
On February 25, at the request of the Mass DCR and the Architectural Heritage Foundation, thirteen members of the Hingham-based Student Conservation Association Historic Preservation crew arrived at the Speedway for a winter clean-up.

On Sunday, September 20th, AHF hosted an engaging community event at the Speedway Headquarters in Brighton – a free Pop Up Yoga session held in the courtyard of the soon to be renovated complex.
On November 8th, 2014, Architectural Heritage Foundation began the first phase of community engagement for the Historic Speedway Headquarters Building in Brighton.
